Explorer Diaries: Food trail in Indira Nagar

Parking is a bit of an issue on this road itself because of the one way, so walking would be the most hassle-free way of exploring the street. Cars would need to be parked in by lanes.

Here is a quick list of the must-try joints on this trail:

1. Khan Saheb

If rolls, kebabs and tikkas are your thing then this is a good place to start. Their paneer tikka is among the better ones to be had in Bangalore – the paneer is juice and soft, marinated well and grilled to perfection. Non-veggies can try the reshmi chicken tikka or the chicken kali mirch which are among the fastest moving items on the menu.

2. Om Sai Skanda Dosa Camp

Really good Tamil-style South-Indian food on offer here. Masala Dosa, Vada, Idli, Uttapam – the counter is buzzing with activity from the time the outlet opens at 6 PM.

3. Lassi Point

If all the eating gets you thirsty, this small joint just across the road from Om Sai Skanda has juices, milkshakes, mocktails, ice cream shakes, lassi and sundaes on its menu. The drinks are worth a try.

4. Tea Brew

If you’re in the mood to sit down and sip your tea, come onto Double Road and look for Tea Brew, a small café diagonally opposite ESI Hospital, just at the Indira nagar 12th main crossing. Tea Brew serves good tea along with little knick knack eats.
