Forrente means 'to eat greedily' and eat greedily is what most people do when they visit Forrente in Koregaon Park, Pune. For it is among the most popular cake shops in the city. Cupcakes, pastries, cakes, sandwiches are served in a warm, hospitable ambiance that is enhanced by the presence of the owner, Namrataa Kripallani. Namrataa is a self-taught dessert chef who is often credited for introducing Pune to unique desserts such as the Ferrero Rocher pastry, Chocolate eclairs, and Oreo chocolate Mousse.
Salted Caramel, Tropical Sunshine (which has a mix of fresh passion fruit and mangoes), Giotto Gateau, Sacher Torte (an infusion of chocolate and raspberry) are among the top selling flavours. Most of the flavours are available egg-less as well. Among cold beverages their mango passion and mix berry cooler come highly recommended.
